I have a 16 Ga Browning Citori 525, it has broken 2 lower firing pins in 932 rounds, is this going to be an ongoing problem, or is this just a fluke? I love the gun, but I really hate the lack of reliability. The first break was at 645 rounds using WW Super X shells, the latest at 932 rounds with Remington Game Loads. Anybody else having this problem?

There are quite a few threads discussing Citori broken firing pins. And the fixes. Have you tried using this forums SEARCH function? |

There is something wrong with your shotgun. Citori firing pins, last a very long time.(tens of thousands of rounds.)
Actually Citori firing pins should be fit, you can't just put them in and forget it. Many fit perfect others are too long or too short. It depends on the depth of the firing pin pocket(which needs to be cleaned before you fit the new pins).
Call Browning. |
