Greetings everyone. I've been looking at this site for several years but finally came into possesion of a 16 ga for the first time about a week ago and am thrilled to now be a "card-carrying member" of this group.
I just received my AOC Ugartechea that I ordered late last fall after waiting somewhat impatiently for it to have some stock work done. I've carried a 20 ga AOC Uggie for several years but due to all the prairie grouse and pheasant hunting we do in the Dakotas I've been wanting something to throw a little more substantial load of 5 and 6 shot.
My dad and brother have both purchased 16 guages in the last 6 months as well so we obviously plan to make a joint effort into reloading and I'm sure we will be taking advantage of the various resources here, including the low pressure group.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to hanging out here and maybe occasionally having something intelligent to add to the conversation. Here are a couple photos of the new Uggie:

Caddis, Welcome aboard. You must be troutfisherman as well.
Was it necessary for them to add a stock extension for your LOP? |

I'm not much of a trout fisherman anymore. Not many trout streams (none actually) here in NW MN. But I went to grad school in Oregon and some of my favorite, most memorable days were fishing the October caddis hatch on the Deschutes river. "Caddis" has become my usual handle for online forums and it's what I named my first gundog when I got done with school.
The stock extension was necessary as I'm 6'4" and my LOP is about 15.5". |

Caddis,if you ever get the urge to match the extension grain with the rest of the stock, take a look at UncleDanFan's website: www.marklarsongunart.com The gun looks great. Gil |

Del Whitman in Michigan did the stock work. Aside from the grain change, the seam is basically non-existant, you simply can't feel it. I had a similar stock extension done on my 20 ga with the same results. I'm very pleased with Del's work. |
