I am not a Massah; just a simple man asking for your respect.
Let me ask you: This word, "M_ _ _ah." What's missing?
Only partially in jest, let me suggest, You are. |

My apologies, no offense meant, it just seemed to ME that you were quite curt in your DIRECTIONS to the rest of the society members.
Normally my comments would have been: "beautiful gun", but I quess you don't want ANY comments, so I will not annoy you further.

Urban Dictionary :
1. massah
Originally used by slaves to address their fiendish masters on the plantations, today, "massah" is used to address someone behaving in an obstinately bossy manner, especially if you think it's not their place to do so.
Learn something new everyday. I felt the same as Cheyenne08. It was kind of a rude original post especially from a guy selling something. Just my opinion.

Good people, this is a for sale post. No need for extraneous comments or discussion. Please refrain.

I didn't take offense to Bob's post. I took it mean the gun is what it is and dosen't need any superlatives. Although, it might have been less "offensive" to some had Bob left off, "Please refrain."
Frankly, I thought Cheyenne08's initial "Massah" post was inappropriate. |

Someone posted a gun for sale on Doublegunshop.com and there was a rather pointed discussion about whether that forum should or should not be used for dealers to advertise their wares. Got rather heated. I think that is why Bob posted the original post the way he did. |

It's said that the actual words are only a 1/10th of a total communication- which is why what someone readsunderstands is not what someone else typed/intended.
That said, it seems to me that it would have been better to post the gun for sale here first, rather than pay GunBroker fees. |

If one reads the rules of this forum, and if one assumes that others will abide by them, then no requests for "no extraneous comments or discussion" should be necessary. Maybe better to wait until someone makes an untoward comment before complaining. |

Maybe, but I have been here before. Seems having a keyboard entitles some to jump on a for sale post. There is a place to opine here in another forum. |

Yeah, only 10 posts and he leaves in a huff. It even was a nice gun. |
