My 16 ga model 37 "Wimpweight" Ithaca carries 5 rounds max., of which three are more than enough for any hunting scenario I've ever been faced with. If I missed three times in a row, I'd round up the dog, empty the gun, and slink back to the car while keeping an eye out for familiar faces hoping not to be seen.
I wonder what a 5 barreled hinge gun would look like--probably like a pipe organ on a stick. |

Actually, it's only 2/3 Damascus. The under-barrel is steel. Talked to a guy who shot that gun, and he broke all 3 targets of a "triple" with it. Amazing that it's not any heavier. Very neat-looking gun . . . although I don't know that I'd buy one. But if anyone is in for real oddities, Cabela's in Owatonna MN has a revolving 16--big cylinder, just like on a revolver. |
