Getting a laugh out of all the guys and gals over at shotgun world that complain about factory load recoil. That they have to reload their own hulls to to get 1 oz. or less shot weights etc. etc. When I tried suggesting that their problem was that their bore size was too big (12 ga.) and that 16 gauge fixed everything they were complaining about I was told to go to this forum. 16 gauge is a B@$tard size and no one wants one. But I guess you have all experienced that before. |

You need to go to the Huglu forum, strong contingent of 16 ga shooters there. |

Some times you have to stir the pot to get a new stink.
This forum's members have always held themselves to a higher standard of decorum and esprit de corps.

I am on both sites. I like this one a lot. Great guys, good stories, and a ton of information about shotguns and shooting. Plus good manners, a rarity these days. Regards RB |

So if reducing recoil is what they are after how is going to a lighter gun going to help with that? Sometimes it's the guy's with 16's that are the ones full of themselves. |

Welcome wellshooter. Who wrote,

SGW has two forums for 16 Ga. fans, one of which is called The Fringe and the other "Sub Gauges". Sometimes weeks go by before you will see a new post.
I'm guessing, but I think that the 16Ga.shooters on SGW are mostly bird hunters and the forums are dominated by target shooters. |

Just remember not to insinuate we 16 shooters shoot reduced loads to reduce recoil.
We shoot 3/4 oz loads in order to shoot more! |

Welcome , Wellshooter ! I am on SGW and this forum too , as are several other members here . Some practice civility in both locales , at least one doesn't . I find this forum to be highly enjoyable and packed with useful information . As long as I don't tell people on SGW I shoot a 16 (outside of the 16ga Lovers or Subguage forums) then they aren't too condescending .
Oh , and don't ever mention that you own a bargain O/U on SGW , that seems to be grounds for ridicule |

16 gauge shooters reload to reduce recoil as do all other shooters of other gauges, Just like I do for my 100 year old 12 gauge LC Smith so do the people on this forum that reload for their 16 gauge LC Smiths. As to ffot note, it is easier to reload reduced recoil loads in 12 gauge. |
