Hello All,
A few weeks ago I received a call from IDFG to see if they could follow me on a chukar hunt and take a few pics for the "I hunt Idaho" campaign. I received the proofs today and thought I would share them with the group. My apologies for not taking my 16 ga but the grip on my Baker broke a couple months back and I haven't gotten around to getting it repaired yet. There are several photos in the link;mine are titled "Father and son upland bird hunting, Lewiston, Idaho region." There are a few pics where the camera angle calls into question muzzle control but I assure you we were always safe and in most cases the gun was unloaded and breach open.
What a great day is was with my son and the dogs. Unfortunately, no birds were harmed during this photo session.

Regards,
Ken

That's a great picture. I'll bet your son will remember that hunt for a long time and it won't bother him at all not getting any birds. That country looks a lot like the area around Brownlee Reservoir.
Me and my hunting buddy hunted my rancher friend's ranch near Crane Creek Reservoir earlier this year. We got into decent chukar, but the Hun numbers were the best I've ever seen. |

Great opportunity! Speaks to the need to have a 16ga backup gun, just in case the primary is down for some reason. A backup 16ga to the backup 16ga would not be out of line at all. |
