I am pleased to report that I met some of our Society members at the recent Ohio State Vintage Skeet Shoot. makes me wonder if we shouldn't consider a lapel pin [or ?] to help recognize fellow members at functions of this sort. |

Geeze Hal you really travel in an upper crust crowd if they wear cloths with lapels. I just don't think lapel pins would be very comfortable on a T-shirt.
But seriously I do understand the desirability of some form of identification and that baseball hats are not always appropriate attire (excerpt in the social circle I travel in. |

It was just a thought. I mentioned the lapel pin because they are small, inexpensive, and inconspicuous. We have shell bags, but I rerely carry mine. Ball caps are okay--but I would prefer to avoid cammo or blaze orange. |

Perhaps a decal to place on our gunstock or barrels?
I still prefer the pin idea! |

Being a member of several diferent clubs I can say that the ball cap is the most popular method of display - stickers are second
I have too many hats already, stickers are good but I'm not gonna slap one on my stock...
The pin idea has merit - lapel, hat, coat, etc. - simple, discreet, classy - kinda like this site.
Or we could start wearing ascots and smoking pipes with a 16 |

Being a Nuveux Scot, I'm OK with the kilt but I'm not gonna show my blue ribbon to anyone but the ladies... |

Seems to me the guns we carry speak for themselves. Of course, If i see one of those nifty little bags that we all get when we join, it's a dead give-away. |

I like the hat or lapel pin idea. Then again, how about more of a causal dress shirt? Long sleeved, collard, buttend shirt, with the 16ga Society logo on the left chest, above a pocket. Maybe a choice of a couple of different styles (cotton solid color, bluejean, or shooting style with quilted sholder patch and/or forarms).
Could always go with the old "Hooty-Hoo" call when entering a room, or gathering area. |

Membership to the 'society' is $25.00 and includes the exclusive designer 'speed bag'. A good cause-&-helps keep this board alive. |

I go with nossman on the shirts. I don't like to wear a hat if I can help it. I still have most of my hair and like to show it off do to good living.
But the pin Idea is also good. I like. |
