OK-I'm sorry about the 28s but you really do have things covered. How about this for a 'vanity gun':
http://www.williamlarkinmoore.com/images/P1010128.JPG
ARMAS GARBI SXS 101 Round Action, 16 GA, 29'', IC& M, DT, Straight Grip, Splinter Forearm, Level File-Cut Rib, Scroll Border Engraving, Coin Finish Receiver, Articulated Trigger, Autosafety, Checkered Butt, H&H Hand-Detachable Locks, Upgraded Wood, Near PERFECT Condition
I think they just got one in like this very lightly used. |

If they'd get rid of about 3/4's of those funny-looking curlicues all over the metal I might be interested !

A vanity gun? You mean to tell me they have shotguns for potting small pieces of bedroom furniture? Is it enough gun for a chest of drawers? |

The current collection sounds good. But I would add a nice L.C. Smith,A.H. fox and a sidelock Lefever all 16 gauge of course. |

A darne would make a nice armoire gun
Padre, I confess to holding back on you I'm coveting even now the 2E Hunter Arms LC Smith 16 that WilliamLarkinMoore got in about a month ago and is not yet on the website. Honest use but no abuse, no cracks, patina if not slight rusted on the trigger guard. 28" brls F/XF with 2 9/16" chambers. Original butt plate. 28" brls and just less than 6 1/2#. Wonderful balance and suprisingly good dimensions. Looks like it's been behind the door of some shed for 40 yrs.
The problem for me in getting a 'vanity gun' (or the Parker VH even) is that I'd be afraid to use them This gun is a shooter and opened to Sk1/Sk2 and using 2 1/2" 7/8 oz loads would make a wonderful quail gun.
They're asking $2500 and confession is indeed good for the soul. |

All 3 of my 16s are what I would call "Meat Guns". Even the Parker vh - although I treat it like a princess cuz my dad gave it to me for my 40th Bday. I would love to own something pretty lake a Darne but I wonder if I would actually use it more than once a month when I shoot trap with the guys at the church (Last sunday of the month at Oak tree gun club in Newhall CA.) |

OK Padre-got a 16g trap gun for you (although a full choke M-12 would be perfect)
WilliamLarkinMoore just got in an Iver Johnson Hercules 16, 30" brls, F/XF, 2 3/4" chambers. Either the stock has been (expertly) refinished or almost never used-original IJ grip cap and butt plate and modern dimensions. I didn't consider it for a pheasant gun because it weighs 7 1/2 #s Also not yet on the website and David Moore sorta threw out $1000 but I bet they'd take much less. |

I have a Lefever single barrel that I will have tubed to 16ga.I don't really like m12s. I'm a breech action guy. It seems that you love that wbesite that you just inked . Try ivorybeads.com - they just got back form the the midwest with literally dozens of Parkers - you may find that VH with a 0 frame . i DON'T KNOW IF ANY OF THE NEW STUFF IS ON THE WEBSITE . THEY CAME BACK WITH 150 GUNS A GREAT PERCENTAGE OF WHICH ARE PARKERS. tHEY HAVE GREAT STUFF . Thay been a little skinny on 16ga lately cuz they can't hold on to them. |

I have to go with huns on this one. I would get a higher grade Merkel. Of course, that's assuming my new Merk ever gets here. 7 months and counting. Guess I won't see if for the opening of bird season. |
