$2975, shipped to your FFL. A light 16 like this one . . . perfect Mother's Day present for a shooting wife!
From 1935. For details, go to gunsinternational and search 100674680. I've owned the gun for a few months, but it's still on Champlin's list. And George Caswell does a nice job of describing it along with good pictures. I also have all the "provenance" material from Griffin & Howe. Only addition I'd make is a crack or deep scratch in one corner of the forend, where it meets the receiver. Not sure which it is, because nothing shows on the inside although it could have been repaired, and it's very stable. I have a photo of that. If you're interested, email me for the photo: ljoelbrown@gmail.com.
Factory 2 3/4", 26", 5 3/4 pounds. Chokes a little more than cyl and mod. $3200. |

Seems like this would make a killer grouse/quail gun. However, for me, 2-3/4" of drop is too much. Fine gun! |

Little Creek, that's the only measurement on which George and I came out with slightly different numbers. I was worried about that too. I actually got 2 5/8" when I measured the drop. And given that the LOP is just a little shorter than I usually shoot, it doesn't come up low for me. I see all of the rib, even when I make a conscious effort to cheek it very hard. If you needed a longer LOP, like 14 1/2" or more, then I think it might be a case of too much drop. |

No more "old" old school SxSs for me, but this is a tempting sweetheart. Mr. C does have some nice inventory. |

Just a thought for those that need less drop. Champlin's gunsmith can bend the stock higher for you. He did a gun for me and did a nice job. If my memory serves me correct he charged $250. Should be able to bend up at least 1/4 with no problem. |
