I have been loading RMC hulls since 2006 for hunting applications and couldn't be happier. Great patterns, and 3k plus reload hull life. Brass hulls are best suited for break action shotguns used for hunting. It takes me about 30 seconds a hull to reload using hand tools. RMC brass hulls can be loaded with any gauge applicable recipe from published reloading manuals and powder company data that is intended for straight walled hulls. |

Question on this: do the brass shells load with plastic cup wads, the old style disc type wads, or can you go either way? |

For the RMC brass hulls, either plastic or fiber wads will work as per Jschultz's response. For the Magtech, the hull requires 14 gauge fiber wads. I believe Byrdog has used 12 gauge plastic wads. I tried two different 12 gauge plastic wads in the magtechs, but did not get the proper results with velocity. I do use smokeless powders in the magtechs with the fiber wads, and the pistol primers. I am very satisfied with how they perform. |
