Nice looking gun. Looks like it might have 28" barrels (likely choked mod/full). 26" barrels were choked IC/Mod. Marlin sold the single trigger Model 90 from 1954 to 1963. There will be a letter prefix in front of the serial number indicating the year it was made. |

I e-mailed the seller. He stated it was only for sale locally. He won't answer any questions about the gun. If anyone is interested they must set up viewing time. Other wise just leave him alone. Not a very nice guy! I hate that, it's exactly the model 90 I am looking for. I have a two trigger model but prefer a single trigger.

He has the right to be obnoxious, you have the right to forget that gun and him.
I wouldn't buy anything from a person with that type of attitude.

Seems we "hijacked" his post, according to added comments. |

I see no hijacking here.

I agree. Those are his words.
I would be glad the word was being spread, about the gun.
But I understand not wanting to be bothered with out of town folks, if I had no intention on selling on line.
But there's a civil way of saying, thanks but no thanks too.
Best of luck with his sale.... |

I contacted a seller about a gun posted on Gunbroker recently. I like to get the seller's phone number so I can call and ask detailed questions. This seller, who had 424 sales on the site would not give me his number. When I asked him to measure the drop on the shotgun, he said he would not do that. He has a three day inspection period, but the way he described it, he never takes anything back for a refund!
The fellow did not sell the very desirable gun at even a very low price (no bids), despite relisting several times.
It takes all kinds, I just wish people would be civil! |

I am always skeptical about anything on armslist. Wasted my time a couple of times as guns are never as described. |
