Just couldn't help myself. Got me an 870 16ga. with an RG date code. I thought we'd get along, since I'm an XG date code....
( I'm not sure a C&R is a good thing).... but none the less, out early Saturday morning in pursuit of Crow and Squab. Technical difficulties from the jump. The mojo wouldn't mojo. But the birds came early and often none the less. I suffered from major accuracy trauma. More than one 3 shot empty out, on gimmes , right over the decoys......
Very frustrating, since I've been shooting very well on the crows all summer.
Anyhoo, decided to pack it in about 10:30 am . HOT and muggy. Finished with a double and a single. 9 crows and 2 squab. When I got home , there were 33 empties in that baggy. I'll be back at it Saturday..... A fresh battery in the mojo and a new wafer in the Thermacell.
