In 16 ga both shots are listed as 1 oz; but the bismuth is listed @ 1200 fps while the Classic Doubles is listed @1150 fps. I see reviews where users either loved or hated each. What are the opinions of those here regarding them. The use would be for upland birds, primarily pen raised pheasants on state game land where no-tox factory loads are the required ammo.

I believe the Kent's are 1300fps , for pen raised birds both should work .

Kent Bismuth is 1300fps, despite the advertising of 1200fps.
I have never liked classic doubles, first it was way too slow and second, it just never patterened very well.

I have been shooting Bismuth for last two seasons and shooting it this season when called for, had I have zero complaints.

I have been shooting the Kent bismuth out of a new Browning Sweet 16 for ducks this year and have had great success. The #5 really stops anything from teal to gray ducks with a modified choke.
I have tried Classic Doubles but did not like the way it patterned, although that was with a Ithaca Model 37 full choke. I have not shot CD out of the new Browning nor have I gone back and patterned Kent with the Mod 37.
I am very pleased with the Kent and until I get my reloader set up, will continue to use the Kent.

Chuck
