I forgot to mention though that the 16 must be on its own frame or a 20 ga. Frame.
Otherwise it's just a 12 gauge hunk of iron with smaller holes.

This.

I've passed on two sixteens in the last year due to weight issues alone.

I looked really hard to find someone to convert a Citori to double triggers. The gunsmiths at Midwest Gun Works thought it was a great idea but didn’t have the time to do it. I certainly don’t have the skills.

Interesting that they keep skirting around the edges and refuse to make a dt straight stock upland sxs. Imagine the interest they would have if they brought back the BSS with dt and in 16 as well as 12 and 20, and with choke tubes. I bet they would sell out immediately.

You're probably right, except they would probably be expensive. I've heard it costs more money to manufacture a quality side by side than an over under.

Just think of the money that could be made if someone would produce the old 16ga. C.F. hull. That would probably give the 16 ga. a big boost.

SKB offers sxs’s In 12, 20, 28, & 410 starting under 2k... perhaps someone could talk them into a 16ga straight stock w/ dt’s...

The 12 ga is under 7 lbs.
