I am not impressed with the wood on my Islide but I am impressed by the service from John and it is exactly what I wanted feature wise.

Bob

That's great Dave, good for you. Please post pics! I'm still thinking about one of these with the long tang added. I just bought a Lefever heavy 12 duck gun, and my husky 16 hammer gun covers most of my 16 chores, but an modern Iside 16 would make a sweet clays/all purpose gun. Hmmm...

Add me to the list of guys who ordered one, threw my money down on the basic Iside, 28 inch barrels, long trigger tang, and a single trigger they told me 4 to 6 weeks.

I would also love to hear if the barrels are regulated well on these, since another poster commented that his was not. Hopefully it's not a trend. Can't wait to see actual pics!

Ptm, I talked to John Boyd at Quality Arms yesterday and he thinks mine will be coming in early December. He also reassured me regarding the barrel regulation. I'm not worried.

I have three fair o/u s that have all been solid shooters, I’m not worried in the least about the regulation issue, the stock on my first A5 Sweet Sixteen exploded on my first shot, I didn’t give up on Browning, sometimes things break or need fixing. Customer Service from FAIR and the IFG has been above and beyond so far. I’m excited to get my hands on this gun, SxS guys either have to pay a premium for a new gun or really pick through the used market. I figured I’d better get one of these now before the price skyrocket or they get discontinued. The basic Iside is an awesome looking gun and I’m confident it will perform as good as it looks.[/code]

I have Isides in 16 and 28ga. Neither have barrel regulation problems.

Quigley,

What do you think of your Isides, do you like them and how do you shoot with them?

Thanks

Patrick

Same question, how are you Iside owners shooting them? My only concern with my incoming Iside is the swamped rib. Not my preferred sight picture.

I am not sure what you are asking Dave. Mine is a 12g w. 30" barrels and as you know I have added an inch and a quarter or half with extended chokes. Now that it shoots to point of aim I shoot it well. i have only done one round of sporting clays and shot it better than any other SxS I own. I used Herters 1 ounce low recoil shells in it since it only weighs 6 lbs 4 oz. I will shoot it again this Sunday at SC and see if it keeps performing for me. I never noticed the swamped rib and if you never mentioned it I would never have noticed the rib.
