I have a nice 16 ga. Tula Model B SxS hammer gun on consignment at the Toano General Gun Store, 7960 Richmond, Road, Toano, VA 23168. (Not the Toano Gun Shop that is across the street!) Phone: 757-566-3696. It is likely a Russian Army fowling piece made between 1917 and WWII.

It has "modern" dimensions, good wood, with some handling marks, but no cracks or splits. The bluing has been replaced with a nice patina. The frame is engraved and bores, which are mirror bright, are choked Cyl/Mod. It is listed for $539 but the dealer will entertain reasonable offers.

Curious to know what you think about the price? Please PM or email me at bmarten6@cox.net if you would like to see more photos.

Rockdoc from this site had one of those. I don't think he got anywhere near $500 when he sold it.

Mike, BarkeyVA specifically asked about "thoughts on price". It doesn't appear to me that Little Creek was out of line in his reply.

Agreed. I appreciated Little Creek’s comment.

I Looked for Rockdoc on the users list and couldn’t find it. I wanted to send him a PM asking which Tula Model he had and what he got for it.

I received an email from Rocdoc. I may be spelling his call name incorrectly. He sent me photos of the Tula he had. He said when he bought it it had a damaged pistol grip and a couple buggered screws. He turned the stock into a straight grip, refinished it, added a long tang trigger guard and sold it for $350. He said it was a very good shooting gun.

Thanks. Do you still have the email and picture? If so, can you email it to me? bmarten6@cox.net

Lol. No worries Mike. Just blame it on that Texas heat!

Skeettx, Our temp was 97 with heat index of at least 102 in Williamsburg today. The humidity here can make it very uncomfortable.
