What happened?
BTW--me too. Just sent off an app and finger print card to the FBI. Hopefully, so I don't have to wait any more.

Nothing other than I edited over a bad joke about waiting. I was fine until this week and now my patience has evaporated. |

I'm surprised you haven't imploded before now.
What says John from Texas?
He shipped mine out right away. |

I was fine until Pockets posted those pics, I’m pretty sure mine won’t show up until February. Italians like their holidays. |

Please except my sincere apology.
I feel y'all's pain. I hate waiting.
How about a hobby to pass the time?

I’ll keep hunting Pheasants until Jan 6 then the real wait will begin, Pockets your going to have to give me instruction in bringing the the stock to life. Your gun looks really nice, you should post more pics. |

Different angles and light. I'm glad you like it. I am very pleased.
All you really need is some boiled linseed oil and a soft clean cotton rag.
Rub some into the wood and after a few minutes, wipe off all excess.
Do this until you are satisfied (I did 5 applications).
let each dry for a day and then buff the final coat.

Wow, that look like grade 3 or 4 wood, it also really makes the checkering look more polished, I know some guys are on the fence about the skip line but I think it looks really good especially on your gun. I’m really glad FAIR is marketing under their own label hopefully they are in the US to stay, I think the basic Iside is the best looking out of the whole line, looks like an old school bird gun and at a great price with all the modern advantages. |

Yup--when I opened the box at the FFL, my smile nearly cracked my face.
I was equally impressed with the depth of the bluing and the balance of the gun.
They really are quite lively in the hands.
I don't dislike the skip line checkering. It does grow on you, but it could be a tad deeper. The case coloring is very nice.
The package over all is, to me, a heck of a bargain.
I love the round body action...I can sometimes imagine I'm holding a Scottish gun--to me the most beautiful in the world.

I wonder if it would be possible to order one uncheckered so I could checker it myself, but with the long tang. I also wish it came with tighter chokes. Modified doesn't cut it for me, as I regularly get chukars and huns with my xf choked left barrel in my Husky 16 at 40+ yds. Hmmm.... |

Mine came with a full choke tube and others are available.
My mistake. It comes with cylinder, IC and Mod, but full is available. |

The fair stacks up pretty good with the Beretta in this comparison, I ordered the long tang on my Iside but I’m not sure how long it actually is hopefully it’s a good chunk of metal. I bet they would send you an uncheckered gun, I also went with a single trigger, it was about three hundred extra bucks for the add ons. The chokes got really good reviews in the article. Dang the wait is going to be a long one. I talked to the regional rep from IFG and he encouraged me to use my local dealer who was a little bit better on the price than some of the guys on the net, I did go to high school with him and have done a fair amount of business there. I want my Iside now. |

I'm also curious about the long tang option. I'm guessing it will be shorter than a full long tang, but it's a nice touch nonetheless.
I'll measure the constrictions on the choke tubes with my bore gauge. Hoping the three supplied tubes cover the gamut. |

It will be interesting to see, Dave. I think we figured the Cyl to have .003.
I’ve got Cyl and Mod in and it’s working on Quail. |
