ISO New Style Sweet 16 with somewhat decent wood grain and 26" bbl. I have a 28" and absolutely love it but it is a bit long for the grouse woods. And Browning isn't selling just the barrels yet.
Want to send my 28" out and have the stock converted to a straight English grip but with hunting season right around the corner that is cutting it close. And it is my new favorite gun. So if you having been considering letting yours go please let me know. |

Oh heck no, at least not the 16's! In fact have a prewar 16 that someone found me that is finally in the shop getting a sunburst pad on it right now for grouse season
Starting about 4 years ago had to get cortisone shots in my left ankle before hunting season just to walk. Tomorrow get shots in both knees. 3 months ago started in both wrist and fingers of left hand, some days it hurts to pump the slide. I can see the writing on the wall but I'm not going down without a fight. |

Cold Iron, I just bought a 26 inch A5. $1299 w free shipping and there is a $100 rebate. $1199. Reeds sporting goods. Wood okay but they are grade I. Nothing spectacular. |

61bhs does that mean you are willing to sell that "Sweet" prewar 37S 16ga. to me now? Actually the next gun after the 26" Sweet 16 will be a Winchester model 23 SxS (sorry it has a single trigger Then I am thinking of that 37S of yours, going to sell my 12 ga. prewar 37T first.
hayseed spot on yes. Called them a couple of days ago and they wouldn't send any pictures he said they are all in the warehouse. They are having their big fall sale starting next Friday and they will pull and set them out for the sale. They have 13 in stock, or sounds like maybe 12 now LOL. It is a 5 hour drive from here but going to take off work next Friday and run up there in the hopes that one of them has decent wood.
Thanks all! |

Little crow shooting sports in Hutchinson has a few of the new A5s in stock as well. If you didn’t find what your looking for. |

Coldiron,
I have a belt sander and some spray polyurethane. Come on up and you’ll have a straight grip in about 15 minutes. 30 tops if we break for beer.
Converting to a straight grip is pretty straightforward. I’m sure you could do it yourself.

Well thanks for the offer Jeff I have all the equipment here and usually refinish the wood myself. Except checkering and this will require a require a checkering job.
Plus the grip is hollow if it wasn't I'd prefer a POW grip.
I do have the stock sitting downstairs though...
The barrel is in Texas waiting on Briley to cut it down to 23" and install thinwalls. They better hurry up! |

I picked one up last Black Friday from cabellos. It was a real pain getting the 26” barrel. I. Assembled it and cleaned it, but it never r ally grew on me. I’m not sure what I’m gking to do with it, so if you don’t find one let me know. I’m likely going to let this one go. |

No outstanding wood. That’s pretty much standard for these A5’s. But I’m really liking mine. A hunter’s gun. |
