I don’t know how that got here 3 times but I guess it shows how much I like it.
Did I mention that I really like that stock? |

I also had my 26" 12 gauge Hunter "slimmed." If I didn't have a thing for SxS's and O/U's I'd be set for anything with these two and my A5 camo for ducks. |

Hayseed, how do you feel about that straight stock? Do you like it? |

Dan, I don't have a straight stock. Just admiring theres. Wish Browning would just go ahead and put it out from the factory. Maybe even with a shorter, 24 inch barrel. |

Well Dave did let me shoot his straight griped Sweet 16 during the "Open" Woods and Meadows SxS shoot. And I am a believer. Wow is about all I have to say, I am a fan. During the same shoot a friend of mine attended for the first time. And broke out is Winchester 23 in 20 ga. with 28" bbl. and Briley chokes he purchased new in the 80's and hadn't shot in more than 10 years. He hasn't put it down since. I have shot it too and when I missed this summer with the Sweet he would hand it to me with a couple of shells and I would hammer them. I am aware of that trick now so won't take the bait LOL. Love the FAIR 16 SxS but would like to find something like that Win 23 too, but in 16....

I think that flinch can only be solved by getting your stock "straightened" on your Sweet 16
My 3 main grouse guns for opener are right now still 37's with 26" bbls. although the prewar is 25"
Having Briley cut the new Sweet 16 28" down to 23" is the same OAL as the 37 prewar.
Just finished shoveling mud from the last heavy rain and my wrists are swollen, Uncle Author is setting in pretty hard. I can see the new Sweet 16 taking over. Not that I want it to. I also enjoy my 37 26" KF 16 ga. Only have put 2 shells through it. Seems a straight grip works well for me even in a shell shucker.

One of those 37's would look pretty sweet in straight grip too. |
