Cheaper than I can load them.
The big problem with shotgun shells which are "cheaper than I can load them" is that all of a sudden there is a dearth of lead shot in the stores, such that at some future date when I want to load them, there will be no shot to load into them.
AFAIK, Cabelas has dropped lead shot from inventory, period. Last weekend, Kittery Trading Post had none (even at the $56 they had been charging). The reloading houses are charging $50+ a bag if you buy 2, once you factor in shipping. I would like to know what is going on out there that all of a sudden there's no shot to be had. |

I get shot from Roto Metals or Mayco, 2 bags in a medium flat rate postal box delivered to my door or the local post office for around $90.00 I do remember the '70s and the $12.50 days ,those are never coming back so look for sales and deals even try yard sales etc. build up a reserve. |

I order for our Skeet/Trap/SC Club in Maine through Geiser Gun out of PA. We purchase White Flyer targets twice a year from them along with our reloading components. Shot was $34.59 a bag. Maybe a option for clubs on the easetern seaboard. |
