Ok, I'm trying to find numbers on a 3/4 oz, DR16 wad, Fed Hull, F209A, with Green Dot. Anybody have something like this? Thanks |

With the big Federal hull, the best I can do is
Federal 7/8 oz. Green Dot 16.6 Win 209 DR 16 1190 |

Thanks Skeettx, I tried the 3/4 oz with 18 grains of GD. I think it was over pressure. Looked like gas had leaked around the primers. |

I load 16.5 grns of greenDot with Federal primer, any wad that suits my fancy. and 7/8 oz of shot. Very pleasant to shoot. Sometimes Federal basewads just leak from use or age. I've found that using a Rio primer solves the problem. |

Mike,
I got a decent crimp with a weighted 3/4 oz of 8's in a DR16( zero pressure) and 18gr./GD. Just didn't know about pressure but sounds like I'm fine. Don't really want high 1200's though. 1185 to 1200 is enough. Maybe I will try 17 gr next? Jeff |

Mark, did you ever check the velocity with this load and 7/8 oz.? They sure load beautifully for me with 7/8 oz., but I haven't checked the speed. |

Ok, so this morning...
Cheddite 2 3/4" hull, Cheddite primer, 15.7 GD, DR16 zero pressure, 3/4oz #8's. Good crimp. Anybody tested this combination? |

It certainly would be safe .
· 3/4 oz #7 ½ magnum lead shot (Lawrance)
· Cheddite Blue Hull (16 mm brass) 2 ¾” 16 ga
· Fed209A Primer
· 20 grains Greendot powder
· DR16 wad (Downrange)
FPS (1489, 1499, 1467, AVG 1485 ES 32)
PSI (10400, 9400, 10100, AVG 9966 ES 1000)
I would think about 1200fps |

Sorry for the late reply but here is what I have on my spreadsheet:
Fed 16 plastic hull
3/4 oz. lead shot
BPI SG 16 wad
22 gr. Green Dot
Fed 209A primer
Vel:1475
Press: 10,200 psi (source-BPI)
Cheddite 16 hull
3/4 oz. lead shot
DR16 wad
20 gr. Green Dot
Fed 209A primer
Vel:1485
Press: 9,966 psi (source-Bowbuilder-16 ga. forum)
These two are as close as I could find to your exact component list. |

My favorite 2 1/2” load. Loads nice and shoots nice and mild. I’ve loaded it with 7/8 oz with a 2 5/8” long hull. |
