byron, like always your participation is always a joy. thank you for all your donations and support. get well, shoot better, and come back in oct and win the trophy.
the chicken creole is an outstanding addition to the buffet. you perfected it. you were the beginning of a new crop of people that the shoot needed. your trustworthiness, courage, loyalty was and is exactly what we needed.
bob and sarah

rex, thank you for coming to our shoot n hoot in them thar far mountains of the ozarks. you have perfected the art, and it is a consciously developed art, of the positive encouraging attitude. your men on the carrier must have been at ease knowing you had their back. your response to my call--as did brian, theresa, jack, doug, jeff and bob c.-- to come early on friday to get as much shooting in as possible, was appreciated as it gave me and sarah the pleasure of your company, and allowed you to shoot up your games. your very plain spokenness and straight arrow demeanor comes from decades of reality living, true, honest, and to the point, which i hate to beat a dead cow to death, but is part and parcel of all military training. in the midst of the battle their is no time for hot winds and opinions. thanks for all you are and all you do. and thank you for your donations to good causes.
carry on. bob and sarah

I plan to be back in the fall. I started force training today with walking that half mile to work each way, three time a day, as a start to get in better shape. feeling better already this evening and planning on launching my canoe this weekend for more exercise along with fishing.
Will be getting some help with my trap shooting from my 80yo father who has over a million registered ATA targets and has been class AA and 27yrd line shooter for a long time. the skeet mistake this time was using my 20ga LC that I have not worked out the details yet(should have stuck with my 16)
Even with scores that I was unhappy with the turkey shoot relay gave me enough points for third place over all. And the pie and other things in the prize box brightened my day. Headed for the kitchen for some pie and ice cream now Wink

My parents live on the farm where I grew up between St. Joseph and Kansas City. They have both had health issues in the past couple months. Dad suffered a stroke in February but is recovering well. My mother suffered a fall breaking her hip in March and is recovering from that.. Between family taking care of them and friends bringing over food already cooked while Mom was laid up they are doing better.
I will try to bring them down to the shoot some time when my work schedule allows me to have Friday off.
