in Kansas.
We hunted Sunday and Monday.
We had a great time. Flintsteel has a friend who has a farm/ranch on the Cimarron. Sunday Morning we hunted the ranch. It was cool and not much wind - ideal weather for pointing dogs and not bad weather for my creeping turdhounds either. The dogs had several points/creeps and a few flushes. We shot 8 Bobs Sunday morning, some of them this years (Spring) hatch according to Flintsteel.
This is me and Beau with the morning's bag: (I'm the Brad Pitt look-alike)

This is the VHE 16 with the same birds:

Sunday afternoon we went pheasant hunting all over Seward County with a young farmer named Travis - friend of the ranch owner. The three of us shot 12 wiley Ringnecks Sunday afternoon. Travis was so kind to take us on such a great hunt.
This is a picture of Flintsteel, Travis' fine Lab Conner, my creeping rascal turdhound Beau, and Travis the young farmer (left to right). Flintsteel is the George Clooney look-alike.

Monday was colder and very very very very windy. We went back and hunted the Cimmarron rancyh. We got nine Bobs - the dogs had a few points but lots of wild flushes - especially the pheasant. I didn't shoot up to my ususal mediocre standard - if I could shoot the body count would be more impressive.
I shot my Parker VHE 16 gauge - 30" steel barrels, cylinder and full (28/1000th), 6pounds 12 ounces. The first day Joe shot a beautiful Parker DH 2 Frame with 28" Damascus barrels - beautiful gun. Unfortunately he shoots 12 gauges exclusively except for his 10 gauges. The second day Flintsteel shot another DH with Damscust barrels, 28", one frame,6 pounds 8 oz, 12 gauge naturally. I have told him people who hunt with a big old twelve gauge are subconciously compensating for a small something or other.
I probably screwed up the picture post - bear with me and I will stick with it untill I get it to work.
Thanks!

Hi Doc!
Thanks for the help. I noticed that my HTML is marked off when I do a post. I went to my profile, changed it to on, and submitted. I got a confirmation that it had been changed.
While I am writing this in the lower left hand side of this panel it says:
Options:
HTML is OFF
BBCode is ON
Smilies are ON
I don't know why my HTML is OFF since it shows "on" in my profile.
Thanks for helping me.

Nice pix, Mike; beautiful gun! Thanks for sharing. Glad Kansas treated you right. You're a lot better looking than Brad Pitt, and I'll bet he ain't got a Parker !
