Retirement's on the horizon? New puppy? Can't be another gun?

You're all just going to have to wait until later today. Being the last bastion of internet self control isn't easy, but I manage, and you're just going to have to try to hang in there.

You just might have a point. There could be legal problems associated with releasing the greatest upland shotgun ever. Wink

I took my A5 SW16 pistol-grip chop job and added Cold Iron's SW16 barrel chop job and created a monster.

A friend on another board gave me the name, "Sweetie Pie!"

If you're not up to speed, it's a new model A5 SW16 with the barrel cut down to approximately 23" and the steeply curved pistol grip straightened.

Below it is next to my 12 ga. Beretta 686 with 28" barrels. With the triggers lined up Sweetie Pie is an inch shorter at the muzzle, so it's equivalent to a 27" OU or SxS.

It's also got a little bit lighter.

Briley did the work and I asked for three choke tubes with .004, .008, .012," of constriction, and also had them install a Bradley bead instead of the original fiber optic.

Even though I'm an extremely busy man I can answer a few questions from reporters.

Looks great , a modern rendition of a Bill Hanus personal hunting gun.

Bravo now you need to retire and relocate to the reservation to make use of your new gem.

Happy for you Dave.

Regards Nick

I’m always concerned when I hear guys get the nickname “sweetie pie” from other guys. And when I hear banjo music.

Nice looking gun.

Best,
Ted

I just got the barrel back from Briley today.

Thanks guys.

Looking forward to trying it out! It's slated for mostly grouse hunting, but who knows?
