Definite buyer if it has the gut hook, maybe elsewise... |

I could live with a second gut hook knife. The Trapper and Russlock are both over 4” and too large to be a pocketknife. Of the ones you mentioned I like the two blade saddlehorn and at 3.5” it is a good pocketknife. The amber bone handle would match the original 16 Ga Society knife.
Do you have enough interest in the various options to have two runs? I seem to recall quite a few folks interested in the larger knives. Maybe mix it up and use the 16 ga brass idea and that might draw double buyers. I would buy one of the larger ones and up to four of the saddlehorn.

I'm pretty sure this forum has a template available to easily set up a poll, if so... DP, I've been in your shoes as organizer of a multi faceted choice like this before and it can get wormy. Maybe offset this determining of which model/s task and set up a poll and go with the majority vote??
Curious, is the logo going to be printed or etched/stamped/engraved? |

Hammer Bill: we dont have an exact price yet, as the Pattern and Handles have not been finalized. I would expect that given the above information, and a slight premium charged which will be used for the upkeep to this site, we are looking at 75.00-125.00 per knife. It's possible, that we may get a quantity discount, but again that is yet to be finalized.
Chicago,
Yes, I believe the Trapper is just too large for a pocket knife. It's more in the belt holder (sheath) category.
The Russlock is considerably smaller and trimmer than the Trappee. The actual length is more like 3 5/8, it's the small straight razor lever that adds to the length mentioned on websites. I've got multiple versions of all knives listed and the Russlock is an excellent pocket knife. |

Chicago,
Yes so far there is a lot of interest in both sizes...
I wouldn't be opposed to running two different knives. I do like Trapper knives as a hunting knife and the full size CopperLock and TrapperLock.
That's the trouble with Case knives... they are all great! |

Hey Guys,
Wish I could get the Bird Knife... that pic came from someone here and it was from the original run about 10yrs back. Case doesnt have any new production Bird Hunter patterns available right now. You can find them on distributor websites etc, but they are old run knives that are in inventory with that distributor.
It's a drag, because I'd like the Bird Hunter just for nostalgia sake. |
