Precision Loading has Fiocchi hulls on sale. Thought I would give them a try. I have Green Dot, WIN 209 Primers and Green Dot. Anybody have any receipes? the 16 gauge reloading spreadsheet has a few receipes, but nothing with these components.

M16, I use a Fiocchi hull cut down to 2 1/2", the Fiocchi primer, SG-16 wad
16.5 gr. Green Dot and 7/8 oz shot. 7050 PSI and 1130 FPS'

I cut them to 2 1/2" to use in my short chambered English double. It's a great load.

I know this might cause a stir flying in the face of SOP, but in this instance, if the recipe I'm considering isn't anywhere near max pressure or speed limits I load Fiocci's (and Rio's) the same as Chedite's. If you do a volumetric study of each hull; the Fio's are more or less identical to Ched's. Comparative review of the 2 hulls' available midrange recipes shows the data isn't different enough for me to be too concerned about catastrophic failure and to date the mountain of reloaded shells (into my 3rd carton of SG16 wads) through my target gun hasn't given me any reason not to continue this practice.

This shared, I load 90% of Ched style hulls as my short range target shells and at 23grams of lead traveling ~1200fps I'm not stretching any envelope of uncharted reloaded shotshell territory.

Simply sharing, use this info at your own risk.
