Buyer fell thru, funds tight. I recently had two crow hunts using one 12 ga one day
and one 16 ga the other. Now these are near identical in weight, choke etc.
Without a doubt the 16 ga outperforms the 12ga. Well maybe better said the
16 ga performs as well as a 12 ga with less shot , less weight, better balance
all of which translate into "the better gauge" . Killed crows as far, as well
with 1 oz 16 ga as compared to 1 1/8 oz 12 ga. all other things being equal.
I think a 12ga in any gun has room for more potential but it comes with
the price of weight both gun and ammo , recoil, cost of operation etc.
It is like hammering nails with the right weight of hammer.

Are these the same LC Smiths posted in another thread for sale looking for a youthful grouse hunter? Haven't heard back from that fella.
