I just acquired 10 boxes of 16 ga.Win MK5 1 1/8 oz. and 16 boxes of 16 ga. Win. Xpert
1 1/8 oz. ammunition. These are plastic hulls and they came in their original 20 box cardboard case.
There are price stickers on some of the boxes from someplace called Yellow Front and you would have had to put out the unheard of price of $3.65 per box.
I was curious if there was any collector value to them or should I just go ahead and shoot them? |

The Expert Mark 5 1 1/8 of 6's in both 16 and 12 ga are wonderful pheasant loads. I wish they still made them. I've used all up that I got from Dad and wish I had more. You could check the ammo section on Gunbroker to see if they have any collector value. |

I collect vintage ammo, and I can tell you for a fact that those are worth money. especially in the original case. probably in the hundreds. |

Heck, they are worth $200 "face value", to use a coin collector term |

Case 1775, thanks for the info. As I mentioned in my original post they did come in the original 20 box case but someone, years ago cut the flaps off of the box.
The 10 ammunition boxes are pristine. |

Mike is right on. I don't see getting $20 for a box of plastic shells unless the buyer is a novice. |

its not necessarily the shells. the old boxes, with original shells, is what is collectible. |
