Here she is
1906 Hunter Arms 16g 2E LC Smith 28" Crown Steel brls choked full/metaphysically full 6 1/2# This pic after about 3 hours of disassembly, careful polishing 'patina' (meaning supf rust on the trigger guard and bottom of the receiver), scrubbing out old grease, and cleaning up nice English Walnut (or possibly French which could be requested with Hunter graded guns.) No cracks/splits/totally original to butt plate. Still 2 9/16" chambers and looks like it spent the last 50 yrs behind a barn door On face and locks up tight.
Dan Lammers will lengthen the chambers, open to .002/.010 (SK1/Sk2), install an ivory front site , & reinforced the wood around the sideplates and head of the stock. She'll be my off bird season low gun skeet gun with 7/8 oz loads and quail gun if needed (but I'll probably use Polywad Spred-Rs in my OOE 16 choked .006/.014 but which patterns tighter)
What say you Parker Putz(i)? |

I gotta admit, it's a nice looking gun. The higher grade Smiths do have some really nice engraving. Now the next question is, can you hit anything with it? |

That's a find, for sure, revdoc, but I do miss your bragging about the Sterlies.
It's just not the same around here without the Sterlingworth-vs-tomato stakes debates we grew accustomed to hearing. |

Oh just give him time, he'll start in with his Elsie attitude in due time.
By the way, isn't Elsie some famous Milk Cow. |

hmmmm... revdocdrew I thought my Ms. Elsie was the cream of the crop, but it is clear that yours beats mine (except for the 2.75 in chambers)
Good job
Will I see her in Kansas week after next?
By the way - welcome to the dark side |

Did the stock come pre-cracked or are you going to do that yourself?

Sure is a nice fine.As I mentioned before earlier on another post. I'm still thinking about theat LC Specialty Trap. From what I have seen it is price right. If it was a 16 I would have had it without thought, but I do not have much use for 12's although I do have some trap Models..
One thing for sure once you have picked up an LC and shoulder and shoot it their is no going back. |

Thanks so much Jeff but the ol' domestic love bank account is WAY past deficit spending at this point and I've got the Jan. Guatemala mission trip to pull off and Dave M's LC hammer gun's calling my name and wasn't gun lust one of those 7 sin things |

Rev,
You show grace and elegance in the face of temptation. Such inspiration!
I must have great self control too, in fact I've always been able to resist the urge to buy an LC.
