1906 Hunter Arms 16g 2E LC Smith 28" Crown Steel brls choked full/metaphysically full Rolling Eyes

6 1/2# This pic after about 3 hours of disassembly, careful polishing 'patina' (meaning supf rust on the trigger guard and bottom of the receiver), scrubbing out old grease, and cleaning up nice English Walnut (or possibly French which could be requested with Hunter graded guns.) No cracks/splits/totally original to butt plate. Still 2 9/16" chambers and looks like it spent the last 50 yrs behind a barn door Confused

On face and locks up tight.
Dan Lammers will lengthen the chambers, open to .002/.010 (SK1/Sk2), install an ivory front site Cool

, & reinforced the wood around the sideplates and head of the stock. She'll be my off bird season low gun skeet gun with 7/8 oz loads and quail gun if needed (but I'll probably use Polywad Spred-Rs in my OOE 16 choked .006/.014 but which patterns tighter)

I gotta admit, it's a nice looking gun. The higher grade Smiths do have some really nice engraving. Now the next question is, can you hit anything with it? Wink

That's a find, for sure, revdoc, but I do miss your bragging about the Sterlies.

Sure is a nice fine.As I mentioned before earlier on another post. I'm still thinking about theat LC Specialty Trap. From what I have seen it is price right. If it was a 16 I would have had it without thought, but I do not have much use for 12's although I do have some trap Models..

One thing for sure once you have picked up an LC and shoulder and shoot it their is no going back.
