Novelty item, but if someone needed primer poppers and didn’t have a loader or wish to do the punch/washer/dowel/hammer thing might be an option?

LCS sells the 12ga primer popper adapter made of brass for $50.

I had a machinist make up a bunch of these years ago ( for 12ga ) Had to put a retaining screw so they couldn't be remove easily, to be legal for muzzle loader season.

Curious as to why "shot only, no slugs" ??

My understanding is that the adapter doesn't fill up the chamber area completely. If a slug is rammed down on top of the powder there is too much chamber area that would allow powder blow by, possibly leaving a stuck slug or ball in the barrel.

Others have stated that they have shot slugs and Round Balls through a shotgun with adapters. They do so at their own risk. The adapters were designed for shooting shot.

I wonder how some of their other adapters do. Shooting a 45 ACP from a 5" barrel inside a 26" + barrel seems like a bad idea but maybe it doesn't cause any issues.

I had a NEF Huntsman, 12 Ga muzzleloader, single shot. Same breach plug design, with a #11 nipple. Lasted only a few years, if that, before going off the market. Legend says someone touched one off without the breech locked up. Quite a headache,....
One of my friends that collects Neff / H&R guns has it. They did come out with another, late in the game, with a screw in breech plug, that used "disk" to hold the primer. The disk was supposed to speed up reloading, by carrying a few with 209 primers in place, in the pocket.
