Thanks robp for the kind words! I'm going to a Dogtra 2700. I really like beeper collars. And after 2 years of using the Alpha, I came to realize, I really don't need a GPS and all the other bells and whistles. At my age, the K.I.S.S. is the best route.
Thanks!

Greg, Have you tried the 2700 yet? I have the previous model the 2500 and the pointer beeper is unreliable. Can take 10+ seconds of rock solid non movement to go off if it does at all so I ordered the Garmin tritronics 550 plus training/tracking collar. I didn't want the complexity of the Alpha either. |

I run the 2700 I had a 2500 before the i really like them alot found them both to work great for me
I run drats they stay relatively close a beeper collar works good for me with them
In the grouse woods i would feel a little more comfortable with a gps colllar a lot a bad stuff can happen in there traps abandon well ect. |

If I didn't have one I'd have snapped it up. Good deal! I really like my Alpha. |
