Remington Arms Co. offered The "Sportsman" as a Skeet Gun. They never offered the Model 11 as a Skeet Gun, but you could get a SKEET choked barrel for a Model 11.
The "Sportsman" Skeet Gun was introduced in the February 15, 1935, Remington catalog, showing it would be available in May --
March 6, 1936, Remington catalog --
and June 10, 1941 Remington catalog --
The "Sportsman" is a three-shot gun. The Model 11 is a five-shot gun --
Your guns are "Sportsman" not Model 11s. |

got it.
5 shot 3 shot.
I always (and 99% of everyone I know,) always refered to sportsmans as the model 11 sportsman, since there are numerous (other) sportsmans in the remington gun realm.
if you only knew how many people ask which model sportsman it is, youd understand why I refer to it as such. it got old! :>
thanks for the refresher. |

[bobski] I had a friend who had the skeet model in the three gauges like yours. I tried for years to get him to sell me just the sixteen gauge model. I even offered to purchase all three if that was the only way he would sell. He would never consider it even when he hadn't shot in over ten years. He's gone almost eight years now and his kids scattered everything to the wind. If you are really going to sell yours you need to decide on a price and list them in the For Sale section. You can't find someone who wants them unless you decide what their worth to you. Good luck!

I know what I paid for them to break even and..... I know what buyers will pay for them.
there lies the age old battle of haggling.
he may be gone, but mine are still here. if you want a shot at them, pm me for details on all 3. i never posted it here since 2 of them are not 16ga, and if i remember correctly, its one of the rules of 16ga.com that it be limited to 16ga only in the ads. |

That is the problem. While the guns are scarce, the pool of people interested in them is extremely small, and finding someone who is willing to pay what you may "think" they are worth may be virtually impossible. |

I look at it this way. as long as they are mine, im winning.
and I can shoot the dickens out of them until I reduce them in quality to the level someone IS willing to pay for them :>
someone else certainly did and they are still working. a living testament to the guns beefy character. |

Ask what you want for them and continue using them until someone agrees with your price. If nobody ever does, then you obviously appreciate that nice set more than anybody else and therefore will not likely be heartbroken to keep them. |

bobski,
IMO the best bet to sell them all in a group would be a very active Duck hunter. Ducks Unlimited members would be a good place to try selling them.
