I have new to me Merkel 47e, (but in 12ga) double triggers.
Shot it first time last weekend, after first trigger pulls, the safety resets to safe.
At first I thought I was maybe doing it on recoil and maneurving to pull second barrel.
But even if I pull second trigger first, gun goes back to safe.
Does not do this if dry firing snap caps.

Any help?

Would that be a tough job, or any decent gunsmith do it?

If you can pull off the stock, the rest should be evident
