I was asked a while ago by some of you folks to notify the group of upcoming magazine articles and I have done a really lousy job of that. I guess it's the fear of being that annoying "look at me" guy. I know it's the age of social media and everybody wants to be a star, but that's just not who I am. I guess I am still uncomfortable with the idea of self promotion. I'm just a guy who wants to share experience and knowledge to benefit others. That being said I suppose I owe it to you folks to share a few recent items.
I do have articles in the June and July issues of Fur-Fish-Game: a fly fishing article about musky and pike in the June copy, and a gun stock checkering story featuring the Nitro Special I showed all of you a while back. Shooting Sportsman has my Hungarian partridge work scheduled for September/ October. There is a late season teal article coming up in American Waterfowler, but I have no idea when it goes to print; could be next month, could be next year.
Friday (June 2 there is something entirely new for me. Travis Warren of the UpchukarNV podcast has been in contact for several weeks and he talked me into appearing on his podcast. Travis is a truly great guy and it's an honor to be given this opportunity. We had a lot of fun with this. I admit to getting a bit carried away with trying to fit way too much in a single episode! First timer's jitters and all that you know. You can see his Himalayan Snowcock article in Project Upland magazine right now and he was also on their inspiring video.

WyoChukar,
Will keep an eye out for the different up coming articles and the Pod Cast, thanks for the info.
Long ago I did some Pod Casts for Bird Dogs Forever about Ryman Gun Dogs and Grouse hunting, it went well and was pretty cool stuff.
Do a good job on your Pod Casts they will be around for ever!

Wait a minute Dave ... I was just listening to the old BDF podcasts ... Episode 34 ... 2006 ...
The BDF podcast was ahead of its time. Still enjoyable to listen to the episodes. |

Thanks guys. I'm unsure why my post shows "June 2smiley face". I tried to edit that and it shows June 28th when I do but I see the smiley in place of the 8 when I view the topic. I wouldn't have even noticed that except for the fact that there is a big yellow dot where I didn't put one. Perhaps the censors are already after me. |

It's the parens after your 8. Board picks it up as an emoticon.
