I finally had a chance to try out my 16 gauge I. Rizinni Iside yesterday at 5-stand and skeet. Up until this gun I haven't shot SxS's with a concave game rib as well as others, but I'm happy to report this gun shoots where I look and in very little time I was shooting it confidently. The 30" barrels swing smoothly and in control, it's a smoker. And it should make fine pheasant medicine. I know pretty quickly if a shotgun has it or not and this one appears to be a keeper. |

Thanks, Riflemeister.
Yes, it certainly feels good.
I have auditioned a few 16 ga. SxS's over the years and this was my last attempt at finding an easy shooter. A couple things got into my head with this one which caused me to drag my heels on getting it on flying targets. I asked for slightly lower dimensions, and everything was right on, but they left it 1/8" high at the comb. Doesn't sound like much, but on this gun if I glance down I see ALL of the barrels from breech to muzzle, and that's never worked well for me.
Fourtrax was in the general area visiting his MIL and he mentioned that he was meeting Cold Iron and another mutual shooting buddy at a 5-stand & skeet range up the line in MN. Savage16 even showed up. Anyway, with my 12 ga ammo getting low I thought I might as well suck it up and take the Iside. All the way there I was thinking, Oh great, now your going to get flummoxed with it at a strange 5-stand, and that's not how I wanted to wade in to the water with this gun. As it turned out the gun points and swings just the way I was hoping it would.
R-E-L-I-E-F!
The dream of a 16 gauge SxS survives.

Congrats. I also hae an Islide in 16 gauge and love it except for the checkered wooden butt plate. Love the look but my shoulder doesn't. I am going to have a Sporting Pad installed, but save the wood plate to replace if I ever sell it.

Thank, Bob. The slip-on pad increased the butt's surface area and no doubt saved my shoulder as it's certainly a frisky gun. Hard not to love a gun that shoots well! |

Dave yes you do have a keeper, you shot your Iside lights out even on your first round. Well enough that I commented on it to you. BTW that #5 bird was 50 yards to the trap, plus yardage once it was thrown in the air according to Ken who set it. Traps were set harder than usual but they were all doable.
I already know I shoot the 28" factory stocked 16 ga. Iside well, and know enough to not try yours LOL. It is on my short list however.
And thanks for the suggestion on my Dickinson Plantation adjustment it made a world of difference. Little more tweaking on the cast and I think it will be perfect! Was a good day all around |

Thanks, Mike.
That #5 and the rocket #2? staightaway were the two that gave me the most problems, and it's most likely an elevation error on my part that I'll have to work out. Really enjoyed that 5-stand setup over there. Long targets, but very visible and I was never wondering where they were coming from.
We'll see you guys over at Woods & Meadow Saturday! |

It is a fun gun. long barrels and light weight. Great hunting gun. Mine is a 12. |
