Have you talked to John Boyd in Houston to see if you can get one that way? I got mine from him with a Straight English Stock and a Single Trigger and screw in chokes and love it except for the checkered wooden butt pad, which is no pad at all, but looks really nice. Replaced it with a sporting pad and have the wooden one to supply with the gun if I sell it.

I contacted John Boyd about a year and a half ago about getting a 16 ga Iside with POW stock and single trigger and he's the one who suggested Fausti. My DEA is off getting a leather covered pad to replace the wooden butt.

I had trouble finding someone to do the job, but finally found these guys: http://www.felandgunsmith.com/stock-work . Still waiting for the finished product, but I'll post pictures when I get it back. They advertise that they try to keep a 2 week turn-around on leather covered pads, but the 4th holiday fell right in the middle of my job. Still waiting, hope they didn't mean two months instead of weeks.

Larry Feland has done numerous jobs for me and he is an amazing craftsman. He is well trusted in the sporting clays and double gun circles.

I am interested to see pics of this. A nicely done leather pad would make a nice addition to my Iside...methinks.

Yup, I'd kinda like to see it too. I need to call and find out what the holdup is.

I called and the Fausti DEA with the new leather covered pad is shipping out today. It left here on 24 June, so that 2 week turnaround touted on their website got missed by a whole bunch. Not a big deal with me as long as it's a nice job.

Fingers crossed.

I finally got the Fausti DEA back and the pad was well worth the wait. It is nicely fitted to the stock without the overhang sometimes seen on leather covered pads and Feland did a very pleasing job of contouring the Decelerator pad before covering it. Pictures below:

This is a little blurry, but it really shows the contouring of the pad before covering. A very pleasing contour.

Super job of fitting the pad to the contours of the stock.

Closeup showing the grain of the leather and two accent lines impressed into the leather.

Toe of the stock.

Heel of the stock

Beautiful job, Riflemeister. Thanks for sharing it.

What kind and size pad is underneath?

That's very nicely done, Riflemeister.

Beautiful work, glad you are happy with Larry’s work. I considering a leather covered pad for my Rizzini BR550 and this is pushing me closer to pulling the trigger.
