A little play on the "Glorious Twelth".
Waiting to get on the dove field now.
Anyone else hunting a dove opener today? Our shooting starts at noon in TN. |

Not only dove, but the forest grouse opener for Washington, as well.
Good luck all! Too darn hot for me; I'll wait for it to cool off a bit. |

Opening day today in central TX. Line of pretty good storms rolled through this morning, so that will change things a bit. The last month it's been over 100 everyday birds hitting stock tanks like clockwork and as usual rains and scatters birds opening day.......lol |

No dove season in Maine. Plenty of doves around. |

Had a great opener! Best dove hunt I have ever been on. TWRA really manages a few small public fields very well. I shot my first limit ever. My oldest boy also killed 7 himself. Memories we will both cherish forever.
My group, 5 of us, ended up with 63 birds. |

I was the only one shooting a 16, my model 12, and everyone else had a 12 gauge.
I was the first to limit out too! I'm sure my spot at more to do with it than anything. |
