A little play on the "Glorious Twelth".

Waiting to get on the dove field now.

Anyone else hunting a dove opener today? Our shooting starts at noon in TN.

Not only dove, but the forest grouse opener for Washington, as well.

Good luck all! Too darn hot for me; I'll wait for it to cool off a bit.

Opening day today in central TX. Line of pretty good storms rolled through this morning, so that will change things a bit. The last month it's been over 100 everyday birds hitting stock tanks like clockwork and as usual rains and scatters birds opening day.......lol

No dove season in Maine. Plenty of doves around.

Had a great opener! Best dove hunt I have ever been on. TWRA really manages a few small public fields very well. I shot my first limit ever. My oldest boy also killed 7 himself. Memories we will both cherish forever.

My group, 5 of us, ended up with 63 birds.

I was the only one shooting a 16, my model 12, and everyone else had a 12 gauge.

I was the first to limit out too! I'm sure my spot at more to do with it than anything.
