Need some help reloading some 2 inch 12 ga loads if anyone has any favorite 3/4 oz or7/8 oz loads would love to hear about them. Been loading 2.5 in 16 ga loads from low pressure group for a while. Could these loads be used in the short 12, if they fit. Going to roll crimp.

Good luck, let us know if you incur any difficulties.
I have a BUNCH of Lyalvale 2" ammo that I was going to shoot
in my light 2 1/2" chambered French doubles, BUT the ammo kicks
so hard I get a headache and bloody fingers, so I load light 2 1/2
ammo for them.
What will you be using the ammo for?

Not sure about 2" but I have loaded 2 1/2" in 12ga.
I will have to dig around in my files for what I used.
At first I used hard wads, then I think I switched to short brush wads?
And I know the last time out I used gas seal from BPI and spred-r X insert. I cannot remember, but I think those were 1oz loads, around 1300fps,
Used them for quail. Don't remember the powder either, I know it was stuff I didn't have on hand and had to go purchase.
Earlier loads I think I used Bullswye? Started out using the BPI data.
But those brush loads, don't think I used bullseye, maybe it was PB? As I was experimenting with PB and had some on hand.
I will dig around, see if I can find the data, instead of rambling on about what I might of used... |
