Got into some flight birds other day good dog work. Had one point that I walked in on bird went up I shot and "missed" saw where bird went called the dog off no bird followed it up. Cooper pointed it and I flushed and shot it. Walked the path out to another covert he went into where I shot at the first bird walked back out and dropped the first bird I thought I'd missed at my feet as if to tell me "there". Hope you all are finding birds I leave for SD Wednesday. |

Soggy Socks,
Woodcock are great fun to gun, no doubt about it. Hay only one follow up then the bird earns it's freedom! Just the way we were raised, Grouse get the same respect.
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
