I'm thinning the herd and my customized SW16 needs to find a new home. It's a wonderful little rig, but I simply prefer my SxS's and shoot them better.
The stock was professionally changed to a straight grip with a full refinish and fully recheckered.
It comes with a Briley-choked 23" barrel and the original 28" barrel with the full set of Browning choke tubes.
It weighs 5 lbs. 10 oz. with the short barrel and 5-13 with the 28" barrel. Sling studs have been added.
I paid $1200 for the new gun and spent some coin on the mods. PM only if you are seriously interested and perhaps we can negotiate a price. (or make an offer)
Here's mine with Cold Iron's custom SW16 on top.

I do have someone interested in my long barrel, so I can sell the gun with the 23" barrel only. With the new A5's long receiver this SW16 with it's 23" barrel is the same length as my Beretta OU with 28" barrel. |

Understand the reasoning for selling it Dave, but mine will not be for sale anytime soon!
Like you said with the 23" bbl. it is as long as a 28" O/U or 26" Ithaca 37. Which for me is perfect for grouse.
Last year
Then this summer had UncleDanFan do the grip up right. Of course he did a perfect job. Was another good year with it chasing grouse
Your setup is how Browning should offer it from the factory. I shoot mine extremely well with the 23" bbl. and it is especially easy to carry now. And shoot. Someone should jump on this before Dave comes to his senses |

The short barrel has been sold.
Make an offer on the gun with the original 28" barrel if interested.

The straight stock conversion complete with the complete rechecking and refinish is a $400 adventure less shipping. If the godawful pistol grip on the new guns is holding you back here's your chance. I'll move this ad to another places in another day or so. |

I have the identical set up as this gun with 28" barrel . It is a great setup for a dove field or any open hunt situation . I used mine for dove hunting , snipe , tower shoots , and even timber duck hunts and never felt like it was too long .
Used it yesterday morning in the pouring rain on a dove hunt . Had my limit by 9 am . Made the best double I ever made with any gun , 2 birds coming across left to right at 40 plus yards first bird was too low to shoot at, 2nd bird higher , shoot it and when I did the first made a turned up , swung on it and knock it down .
Great guns IMO. |

I forgot to mention it has the 3 factory choke tubes plus an Improved Modified tube that I picked up for it. |

I had my gunsmith do it. Not a big job, but I'd find a way to mess it up. |
