At my average of 400rds at skeet and 200rds at sporting per month that adds up to five months minimum. Less if I add some tournament shooting in there.
But with my new 28ga being used for most of my skeet shooting I don't shoot nearly as much 16ga at skeet.

Yes, the new job has me working M-F 8-5 and Saturdays 8-12 at least so now the only skeet shooting I can do is Sundays after church and some occasional sporting on Saturday afternoon. Squeezing in a bird hunt with my Brittany pup instead of shooting clays when the weather permits. Embarassed

90% of my shooting is 16 gauge.I went thru about 8000 rounds in the last 3 years. Just bought another 5000 wads about a month ago. At 74 it should get me thru for awhile. Between 12,16,and 20 I've got about 10,000 wads in the closet and the majority of the 12 and 20 will be loaded by someone else.During nice weather I shoot 50 to 100 rounds a day.

I have always enjoyed shooting skeet, trap, sporting, five stand as well as backyard clays with skeet being my favorite. All of my trap, sporting and 5 stand are shot with a 16 ga. Probably 75% of the skeet is shot with a 16, the remainder being 28, 410 and a few 20's. This year I decided to keep track of my shooting. To date I have shot just over 18,000 shotgun shells. With about 15,000 being 16 gauge. I have a trap shooting friend who gets components for me a couple times a year from a distributor. Sometimes he takes his wife along with him. She thinks my shooting is excessive...I disagree Very Happy .

A couple weeks, if you shoot with some of the guys here at the club who go to the big state meets here. One of the guys shoots 2000 rounds at each meet.

10 weeks. If I shoot 300 a week. If I shoot less... it will take longer.
10 weeks or 10 years, why does the amount of time matter?
