so, from the links that were provided, I see 13.50 for 500, plus 10 to ship being about average.
so for 1000, 27.00 plus 10 to ship...the average buyer is paying around 37 per 1000?
i don't feel so bad now offering mine at my club all this time for 25 per 1000. and no one bought them! lol. |

In cowboy action competition my time between shots is about 1 second feeding a Winchester 97 one shell at a time. So 3000 seconds or 50 minutes. |

In cowboy action shooting competitions my splits (time between shots) are about 1 second. So 3000 shots would take 3000 seconds or 50 minutes. |

250 a week in my Zavasta SxS. If I can get a Browning Gran Lightning,.........
double that count. 16 doesn't abuse my shoulder and can shoot far more rounds.
If the Browning comes through, I will be training for the 2020 Grouse season in the UP.
Fly you suckers! Gunner is in the woods again! You will fall and be roasted in my 9in. Lodge frying pan in the woods! |

In Season (Skeet Season), I shoot about 1,200 rounds a week, 4 rounds of skeet in each of 4 gauges, 3 times. Off season, I will shoot some of my 16s, but I probably shoot less that 500 a year.

This is all well and good, but how on earth do you guys find time to load that many shells? You must spend many hours behind a loader. Do you all have progressive machines? This is probably the main reason I don't shoot 16's at clays more often. WAY too time consuming. I work three jobs between my day job, oil painting, and gun work, and I barely have enough time to load a few boxes now and then. So, most of the time I just shoot a 12 so I can find affordable off the shelf ammo. When the Herter's $5/box 16's went away, that put a serious dent in my 16 shooting for clays. |

At the current rate, about 30 years.
When retirement becomes reality in the next few years., I hope to hunt a lot more, and possibly shoot at a range. My shell consumption rate should go up. |

In the somewhat the same way it's hard for me to predict my 16 gauge volume as I just retired. I also have a 12 ga. Grabber and a couple thousand once-fired compression formed AA's which may or may not come into play. |
