I was looking at some Rota SxS's at Cabela's. They are on "special" @ 25% off. Apparently these were imported by New England Arms.
Anybody ever owned or handled one? |

several monthes back, I bought one of these guns form Cabela's. It was a 28 ga. This one had a pair of barrels so crosseyed, you could see the bores pointed in two different directions just by eye. I sent it back and got a full refund plus shipping it was so bad. The guys at the gun room agreed and the gun was sent to gun limbo.
I can't speak for the whole batch, but other folks including Larry Brown have warned that the quality of many Rota guns is not up to snuff. I don't know what they are asking for them, but if its much above $500. I'd pass. It might cost another $500 or more to straighten out the problems you might encounter. At least Cabela's will take it back without a big argument.
Just out of curiosity, I looked up Rota Cabela's gun room site. Al;l they have is one 12 ga gun. Where are you finding them and how much are they asking? Thanks. |

Hey 16gaugeguy
I think your 28ga ended up on gunbroker. Starting bid $1,969.00!
The price on the guns at Cabela's is $825.00. I asked the guy in the gun room if it was 25% off that price. He said no, that is 25% off. |
