L22XXX indicates 1954/55 made.

two astericks "**" indicate MOD choke, but dial calipering muzzle reads: 0,683"

Address stamp reads "Browning Arms Company St.Loius, Mo & Montreal, P.Q.".

going to on to a 68G 44XXX reciever. Chamber stamping is 12/70 within "oval".

Is choking correct? Any problems to arise?

Thanks

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO, this is a 12 gauge barrel?

https://www.royalarms.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Choke-Tube-size.pdf

Depends on a lot of stuff

Bore diameter is a large factor.

I would say, SHOOT the barrel in a 12 GAUGE A-5 and then you will know

Mike
