Thanks for the data , that would be better than my loads in the speed category for the 5/8 oz .
The 1/2 oz loads kill at distance like no tomorrow when speed is behind them after all the things we have done recent history wise .
1585 fps is all that I have taken the 5/8 to for hunting long range , after taking the 1/2 oz up higher and seeing the results , your data ( if it patterns well ) and no not on paper , shoot flying target's to establish this , 100 rounds of 27 yard trap is a good start .
Turkey this spring will be shot with the 1/2 oz loads by everyone that I will be taking this spring , now this is where the paper pattering comes into play , will check to see if everyone's guns is compatible with the load .
Old guns light loads of tiny shot at high velocity is my cup of tea , no pain , effective loads that do the job at a lower cost , what's not to like .

In the first load recipe, what is the "NC16" please?
I have been waiting on some 28ga filler cards and wads to replace payload space in the CB100 to play with 3/4 oz loads, but the 1715 fps reported by Black Eagle in the Fiocchi hull definitely has my attention. |
