Hello,
I recently came into a old Winchester 97, 16ga with a 2.5 in chamber. I was wondering if anyone has any load data for 2.5 in. hulls, and any load data for some #3 buckshot that I was given with the shotgun? I can't find anything for 2.5 in. loads as far as powder, and shot sizes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

There’s always roll crimping. You can shave that 1/4” of a hull and still use your favorite load. I would still stick with lower pressure though due to 100+ year old wood, but I’m sure there’s data coming your way for a regular crimp. |

Welcome aboard, I have a chance at owning one and didn't realize I need to look at chamber length, thanks for the heads-up.
A Gent who hangs around this site compiled a bunch of 16ga reload data including 2.5" loads. Go to site, register, get approved, then you'll have a library of 16ga data to choose from.

Best of luck with it.... |
