Hi all,

I've been lurking here for several months picking up information, but now I've acquired my first 16 bore fowling piece - a FAIR Iside EM. I ran it through a SC course this past weekend and I can confidently report that none of the misses were the gun's fault. I didn't shoot any better, but I looked a whole lot better doing it.

Thanks to everyone for their insights and especially to Russ and the gang over on the LP reloading group.

Kevin

Welcome Kevin and nice pick for a first gun. What do you think of that new version Herters ammo?

Welcome, but to be fair here's a warning...16s are addictive.

I just picked up a couple of boxes of the Herters when I picked up the gun because I was still waiting for some reloading components. They went bang and the clays broke (well, sometimes) so I guess they're fine, just more expensive that the previous version. I later found a flat of Remingtons for $1/box less so got them - and they worked too! I'm now set up for reloading.

I assume the Remingtons are their Game Loads?? They make great reloads with the Claybuster 1 oz wads. That's what I'm loading now. Just wish they lasted longer.
