Well, if it ain't been used in 5 years or so, its time to move it on. Besides, I used my SXS almost exclusively last season and thoroughly enjoyed it--may add another to the stable in the future.
BPS was bought by me about 2008 and used quite a bit for the next 5-6 years. About the only issue is sharp corner blue wear on the bottom of the receiver from carry. Very slight scratches in the buttstock and a 1/8 inch dimple in the forearm. Best I can measure, LOP is about 14 inches, with about 1.5 and 2 inch drop on comb/pad (with the high rib, this drop is plenty). I don't have a good scale, but I think it weighs about 6.75 lbs. 26 inch barrel with 3 Invector chokes. Shipped FFL to FFL, CONUS (with no further restrictions) for $600. USPS MO or similar.
In the interest of full disclosure, I had some problems with new straight walled steel based shells hanging up in the chamber when the gun was new. Especially Fiocchi Golden Pheasant loads, but occasionally a few other "Italian" shells. Chamber was honed with 4-ought steel wool and seems to have fixed problem, but since I switched back to my old standbys (Win CF reloads--which are totally reliable), I can't vouch for "problem solved."
Parent of a teenager with a strong bird hunting desire lacking a good gun? With some details of the situation, I will prioritize sale to a parent of a young man or lady for $350 with the above shipping restrictions. PM me and we'll work it out.
PM me if interested. More pictures available (sent by email to your email address).

Have two parents interested in BPS for their children. Will take them in order, watch for PM. Consider gun sold at present. |
