The title largely sums it up. We were told to avoid other humans, so I did. It really wasn't all that difficult to accomplish, living in a state with 5-6 people per square mile. I fly fished a lot, jigged walleyes at night, and worked on a few automotive projects that will benefit me greatly this summer and in the upcoming "bird months".
I must confess, I have rather enjoyed myself. Next, I will be farming and get this, removing prairie dogs the fun way in North Dakota soon. Of course that prairie dog thing is going to be a real job since I am expected to remove every last one so we can put the ground back into agricultural use.
At any rate, fishing has been good here and will be good in the waters around the farm when I get there. I know at least one of you (Mark) has been fishing during all this. Anybody else have any good fishing pics?

WyoChukar,
I have not been out to much, doing some Fly tying and working on the Bamboo Rods a little. Looks like you have been having a great time, Rusty looks content and life goes on.
One sad note here, one of my wives nieces passed away out around Cleveland, OH.
Looks like this thing is not over yet for our family.
Be safe out there buddy.

As always it is fun to see your photo tours of your hunting and fishing expeditions, but it doesn’t look like Rusty had any fun:). Nice looking trout and a really fine brookie.
Good Hunting,
Mike |

Beautiful photos, as usual. Thanks for sharing with those of us less fortunate as to our current addresses. |

Sounds like a tough job Garhart, but I think you're up to it. I feel blessed in that I retired just a couple months (optometrist) before all this crap hit the fan. I have been doing a lot of pond and stream fishing myself lately. No trout streams in our area although the DNR does stock some local streams and lakes with trout. I would much rather fish for smallmouth in the streams and crappies, bluegills, and bass in the ponds. have caught some impressive stringers so far and had some great fish fries. I took my son and his 2 girls out Monday and they had a ball.
I have been lucky to get my 2 turkeys, the last one a big bird I took with a Parker Grade 2 12 ga hammer gun with 30" F/F, made in 1883.
Cold, rainy day today, so will catch up on some reading and try to figure out how to post pictures here. |

Been hitting a few local ponds; nobody else around but mamma and the kids and a few fish...

Really nice pics guys! The last set are the kind of fish we have here in Ala, I wish we had the trout species. I'm all for the catch and release, I catch and release into hot grease! |

Nice crappies and bluegills , Phil. Been wanting to use my fly rod myself, but every day I fish it has been real windy--although my experience with Kansas is that it never stops blowing there.
T-Bird, you are right, I am into catch and eat. We have been hitting the wild game freezer hard during these times. Lots of grouse, pheasant, wild turkey, venison, and fish fries. |

Yep; if you waited for a still day to fly fish in Kansas you'd have darn few fishing days ! |

Around here my mottos is trout are for catching, walleyes are for eating. I'm looking forward to catching white bass and northern pike again. I keep a few whiteys but let the pike go. Pike are good eating, but I never learned the Y bone trick. Hopefully I'll get these loose ends tied up around here today so I can leave soon. |
